hey everybody welcome back to the

game

nexus it's dwayne here and today we're

jumping into another dauntless video

today im actually going to be talking

about something that i think ive

overlooked for a very long time now and

i think it's about time that i talk

about it so if you know anything about

me you know that im a big guy when it

Comes to role-playing games and just in

general story and immersive game play

SO

a lot of the games that i playi kind of

throw myself into it um you know

especially when it comes to multiplayer

games uh destiny the division

anything that involves me playing with

other players elder scrolls

dauntless has been a tricky one becausedallas actually is a very good story

game but the gameplay loop of dawnless

is such that you kind of just forget

about it it's there it's hidden in the

background but really what you're doing

day to day is just fighting off monsters

and

killing them and making better weapons

and armor for your characters so today's

video actually we're going to dive in

and i'm going to show you a little bit

of where to find some of that story

content you might be missing and sort of

some tips on how to throw yourself into

the game and get more of an immersive

experience out of it

today we're going to be paying a visitat my favorite old watering hole

we're gonna get ourselves a beverage

and

we're gonna see what's going on in the

world of dolmas

there's Some hunters over here

drinking chatting hey boys how's it

going

good you're running

out i had a good hunt today yeah i did

i'm gonna head over here and see what's

going on order up some beverages

if you're wondering why im talking like

this and why im sort of pretending that

i'm in the world of dallas it's

basically for one reason story and fun

So essentially one of the things that uh

you knowi think a lot of players don't

realize at dallas is that this gameactually has a story

it is a

quasi-rpg style game

uh you're not just going out there

hunting monsters for the hell of it

although that's pretty much what the

gameplay loop is an actual fact there's

a story and lots of cool characters in

this game

so strap it and we're going to talk a

little bit about that right now im

gonna go over here

SO

from the main menu

you can go down to this nice little tabdown here called map

and this is going to pull up a map of

now we all know there's lots of

different characters around you can

interact with different people and you

know they all have different purposes

but i think one of the things about this

game that was really cool is that they

actually have amazing art style and they

actually put a lot of thought in the

story of the game now the moment loop

obviously doesn't a lot of that story

because you're really they're hunting

down monsters and killing them

behemoths

um but when you come back tomski this

is

your hub this is where the story of

uh donald really comes to lifeso the map actually shows you where all

these characters are in rams interact

with so if you have quest don't know

where to go that sort of thing

but more importantly if you go along you

see that they have a little

they talk about the character and they

flesh it out in some amazing work to go

along with it

this is the kind of stuff that really

draws you in

for me growing up and seeing cartoons

that was really a big part of mytaking that element and expanding and

especially dollars

so im just going to go through some of

the characters

SO we have marcus bohr and you know

that

he's the captain that we meet when we

first start playing

oh flint uh he's the one that handles

all your styles past rewards club and

stories found over there by the water

fountain uh where you get your bounty

token

will's boring

and uh pretty much all the people are

seeing him these days he's the one that

tells all your weapon crafting i mean

they have a little blurb on his uhhistory

we have this friendly guy here admiral

zai he handles all the forms and

grenades and although i don't firearms i

definitely see a bit when it comes to

replenishing my grenade supply

card master now this is eric webb i

haven't seen this guy yet uh he is up

there uh i haven't actually visited him

um as far as uh you use

uh breakers so for me

moira she's our armor smith

she's right there at the forge coming to

ramsgate

granny strega who could forget granny

So she's our consumable vendor she also

gives us some some rumors as well

if you haven't checked out this video on

granny's trigger make sure you go andthen we have the eighth

for lantern crafting and getting back

for your escalations

here's the middleman he handles all our

omni-cell stuff

and then

catarin and she's the character play

when you first boot up dauntless and run

through the tutorial um she's a very

fake hunter um and actually sitting

right up there and playing

uh when you head up onto that first

pla

or second platform

then we had doctor yanni

and she's usually me out on quest to

find out things from behemoths and uh

the d and all that sort of stuff

uh we have the behemoth scout i haven't
